Make the most of the "ME" time

Sitting idle? No one’s there to hang out with? All of your friends are busy? Parents are not listening? Or everyone’s asleep? Whatever be the reason of you being alone, I’ll make sure the next time you sit alone, this article will tickle the inner you to make the most that “ME” time.

Well, if I talk about myself, I love to sit back alone and ponder over all those silly senseless talks and incidents that occurred in the recent past. And few thoughts thus weave into few other and it creates a whole set of an imaginary realization of the things that happened, their reasons, possible near future predictions. And trust me; doing that is kind of a meditation for me. Every day, we come across so many people with so many different thoughts and opinions, we tend to disagree with a few and agree with some. But, when the void is created in between that busy time, which is when you are actually left with the one whose opinions match exactly with yours in every situation and every case. And that is when you can speak your heart out and possibly that is when you can come up with the realization of what is happening around you. And I don’t need to mention, that very person is you, yourself.

"Meditation may think down hours to moments. The heart may give most useful lessons to the head, and learning wiser grows without his books."

And possibly, this is what happens when we are left alone. But then, I have come across situations when we sit back and start recalling all the bad that happened to us, of all the negative people around you and their deeds, or may be of the bad that could happen in near future. And this is the way how you can completely spoil that moment. Think of a situation, when you’re with your “special someone” or when you’re bidding a good-bye to your loved one, you try to make the most of that moment. You never bring up issues that will spoil that quality time. Then, why is it that we put across all those random negative thoughts when we get to spend that quality time with ourselves!? You don’t hate yourself, you’re not the only person sad on this earth then, why to think of the same old, negative things and spoil that time?

Now, you may think, that if not the negative thoughts, then, what? Well it has been said that whatever you think of, is what you attract towards yourself. Many of you may have read the book “The Secret” which tells us about the secret to life and happiness. Keep thinking of it, and it is bound to happen. All you need to do is to believe on it, completely. So, not deviating from the topic, how we can link this to our “ME” time is by recollecting those few good moments that you came across the whole day. This may include the small little thing that you did for someone, and it may be just helping an old lady cross the road. As I mentioned in my article “It’s all about Myself”, the feeling that you get when you start encouraging yourself is unmatchable to all those that you come across in the whole day. Thus, attract all the good things to you, when you’re alone.
Now another issue that comes up is, if we don’t think of those odd situations then, then how can we get over it or how can we solve it? Agreed. The idle and the void time is one of the best time to think of solutions to many problems that you may be having, but then, how many times have you actually come up to a conclusion? If the problem is within you, then, I agree that you should possibly think of a solution. But that can only happen with a retard, you’re a normal human being, how can you be a problem to yourself? Many a times, you come across situations where they mold you to behave in a particular manner and later you blame yourself for that behavior. The problem can only be because of the concerned people or the situation and you, by sitting alone and weaving thoughts can never come up with a solution. So, just chuck it and start thinking of ways to find more happiness rather than counting problems.
I talk to myself, very sweetly and in a very friendly manner, and trust me this is not insane, it boosts me from within more than any living creature on this earth could do. Do the same, and feel it.
The next time when you’re alone, knock the doors of that part of your brain which carries all the good things that happen to you and block or shut all the remaining doors. And trust me in course of doing this, your heart certainly will smile at you and say a “thank you”, what more does a person want, than love from him to himself. When you will soothe your pains, when you will be the music to which your heart tune, is when you will make the most of the “ME” time.

So, I really really wish that the next time, you sit back in your room all alone, you won’t tune into your i-pod, rather would just tune into yourself for the best music called self-relaxation which is very similar and certainly more efficient than meditation.
Keep loving yourself, and get loved. J J

  6. Nice post, indeed. And inspiring too. When I'm alone, I try to do things that make me happy. Play the guitar, try to compose some music, write some songs. I'm not really a thinkster, but you get the idea. ;)
